During these challenging times, calling friend and family in different part of the world gives me a different perspective.

We are fortunate to live in Fort Lauderdale, where there is sunshine, swaying Palm Trees and Beautiful Beaches.

Home in Fort Lauderdale can mean so many different things. Condo, Highrise or Shortstack, Townhouse, Duplex, Multi Family, Single Family, Waterfront, Luxury etc.

There is something for everyone. With that, comes an influx of retirees, relocation or a virtual business shift.

Because Fort Lauderdale has so much to offer, it is the preferred Destination. Miami used to be the first choice, but the cost of homes are much higher than Fort Lauderdale.

The added challenges we are having with being stuck at home, a lot of buyers are thinking about their living quarters.

Are you in New York, Connecticut, Washington, Maryland in a high rise building? Sharing common space? Waiting for elevators? Are they being sanitized?

You tend to have better amenities in a condo building, but you can’t use them at this time. Currently, a single family home with a yard, and a pool could look a lot more appealing that a smaller condo.

The calls are coming, expressing the need to shift from a linear lifestyle in a small apartment in NY, to a comfortable home, closer to the beach with a very appealing weather forecast.

Fort Lauderdale is looking more and more affordable to most Northern States. Whether it’s for tax benefits or Retirement Investment, or just the need for more open space.

We are fortunate to live where most vacation, and it seems a lot more people are beginning to believe it!
